Do not put CDs or their trays in the recycling. Any Franklin County resident may bring CDs to the "Got Books" container at the Northfield transfer station. GreenDisk offers a mail-in option for recycling all forms of electronic media and their cases: diskettes, zip disks, CDs, CD-Rs, CD-RWs, DVDs et al, video tape, audio tape, game cartridges, DAT, DLT, Beta or Digibeta, and virtually all other type of computer tapes, as well as many other forms of “techno-trash.” See their site for more info.
Otherwise, dispose of CDs and their plastic trays in the garbage.
