Toys

Charitable organizations (Salvation Army, Goodwill, local churches) may take those in good condition. Sometimes local organizations hold short-term toy drives, which are typically advertised in the local media and with fliers. Most toys are not recyclable and, if not in reusable condition, must be placed in the garbage. Plastic toys are not recyclable even if they show the recycling (chasing arrows) symbol. Stuffed animal toys in any condition are accepted by the Salvation Army; they can be recycled into insulation or stuffing if they are not in resaleable condition.
