Depending on the condition of the piano, you may be able to sell it or give it away. If the instrument cannot be restored to playable condition, it can be disassembled. WTE Metal Recycler will accept (and pay for) the cast-iron innards. The wood from the frame is sometimes beautiful and can be creatively reused. Or the wood can be disposed of with bulky items, either at the Clean Sweep Collection, the Greenfield Transfer Station (either of which can be used by all District residents), or at town transfer stations in Bernardston, Colrain, Conway, Deerfield, Montague, New Salem, Orange, Rowe, Warwick, and Wendell.
