Ni-MH batteries, rechargeable batteries which are used in power tools and other electronics, are a hazardous material. They can be recycled in the special battery recycling pails at all town transfer stations; hand to attendant. They can also be brought to Town Halls in Erving, Gill, and Sunderland. Or they may be brought to the Regional Hazardous Waste Collection Sites at Colrain and Conway transfer stations. They may also be brought to the District Office at 117 Main St., 2nd Floor in Greenfield.
