Bags: These items are not accepted in regular household recycling. Check with your dry cleaner as they may take them. They are also acceptable in the plastic bag recycling programs offered by some grocery stores. See NexTrex for additional information on plastic film recycling. Otherwise they are not recyclable and must be placed in the garbage.
Hangers (metal): Disposal is available to all District residents at the Clean Sweep Collection, Greenfield Transfer Station, or WTE Metal Recycler.
Disposal is available for residents of Bernardston, Buckland, Colrain, Conway, Deerfield, Heath, Montague, New Salem, Northfield, Orange, Rowe, Warwick, and Wendell at their towns' transfer stations.
Hangers (plastic): These items are not accepted in regular household recycling and must be thrown in the trash. They can also be donated as an alternative option. Check with your local survival centers or thrift stores. It's always best to call first. Another option is your local "Buy Nothing" page on Facebook.
